Southern comfort food with a side of genuine care. Dietary restrictions welcome and always accommodated. Come for the education — feel like you're at home.
This is your home for three weeks. So we cook like it. Tell us what you don't eat — allergies, sensitivities, lifestyle choices, anything — and we'll have something for you on the table every single meal. No questions, no EpiPens left behind, no sad iceberg lettuce plate.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher, halal, low-sodium, diabetic-friendly — name it, we handle it. The kitchen plans alternative options based on the menu above, so you're not eating scrambled eggs three times a day.
I came in thinking I'd eat peanut butter sandwiches for three weeks. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and I was nervous. By Day 2, the kitchen had a whole carb-counted menu just for me. I graduated healthier than I started.
On the final day of class, the lab becomes the course for the TASA Race. Team Blue and Team Orange run three timed pit-crew rounds: diagnostic sprint, simple repair pit stop, and teardown-and-rebuild. After each round, teammates take equal five-second RC rock-crawler relay turns while judges score safety, quality, teamwork, and customer-home professionalism.
It's part tournament, part celebration — a full day of teamwork, laughter, and friendly rivalry. The team with the best total score takes home the TASA Race and bragging rights for life. Everyone walks away with their certificate, their class photo, and a graduation steak dinner they won't soon forget.
I thought the final day would be a written exam. Instead, we're racing each other to diagnose a dryer in under 3 minutes while the whole class is yelling at us. I've never learned so much and laughed so hard in the same day.
