TASA is committed to providing a positive educational experience. If a student has a concern or complaint, the following procedure should be followed. This procedure is required by the NC State Board of Proprietary Schools.
Step 1 β Direct Resolution with Instructor
1 The student should first discuss the concern directly with the relevant instructor. Most concerns can be resolved through open conversation. The instructor will document the concern and the resolution, if reached.
Timeline: This step should be attempted within 5 business days of the concern arising.
Step 2 β Formal Written Complaint to School Director
2 If the concern is not resolved at Step 1, the student may file a formal written complaint with the School Director using the complaint form below (or a letter with the same information). The School Director will:
Acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 3 business days
Investigate the complaint, which may include meetings with the student, instructor, and any witnesses
Provide a written response to the student within 10 business days of receipt
Step 3 β Appeal to School Administration
3 If the student is not satisfied with the School Director's response, they may appeal in writing within 10 business days of receiving the response. The appeal will be reviewed by a senior administrator or owner who was not involved in the original decision. A final written decision will be provided within 10 business days of the appeal.
Step 4 β External Complaint to NC State Board
4 If the student is not satisfied with the school's internal resolution, they may file a complaint with the NC State Board of Proprietary Schools.
NC State Board of Proprietary Schools β External Complaint

Important Notes
